Hi yes you have to do both front and rear the wattage is not the issue its the resistance wattage is about the heat dissipation resistance is about fooling the lcm to think it has a incandesant lamp connected Porsche Cayenne

nowt to do with voltage, its amps that the resisters pretend to be ..the ecu sends a voltage to the bulb and if it doesn't get the correct resistance back it puts up an error, hence the need for resisters if you have leds .....now it could be that the RR setup is different and somehow picks up on the positive only feed so putting a resister in series 'might' give the ecu the reading it needs..

oodathort- you cant remember what colour wires the rear indicator live/ground were can you??

Thanks. I have decided to get someone with some elec knowledge to sort it out (as i prob should of done in first place) so will update with results once done. Thanks for input/ comments. |

They need wiring in parallel and you must do all four corners. If your anywhere near yorkshire i will be happy to sort it for you for a few beer tokens! Heres my 03 working.

nick, i thought you had done all four and had the problem..if you've only done the front two then when you do the rears it should be ok.. ... - .- -.

No, only front as thought they would work independantly. Will have to wait till next week now but will update with results. |
