maybe because of the canadian/scandinvian setting.....they should work with just the 'drl standard' setting.. ... - .- -.

DRL were made law in 2011 so all vehicles have to have them fitted , I guess LR decided to get in early ,

The Law was phrased “all NEW models NOT facelifts must have DRL’s” hence the twinkly lights on the 322, 320 & 319 were just sidelights... Bizarrely JLR saw fit to include DRL’s on the 2014 319 facelift! Perhaps they wanted it to appeal to a “certain demography”??? Whistle

I'm not entering the debate about the whys and wherefores of DRLs and I do understand that the fairy lights are not DRLs. Notwithstanding this I still wanted them to come on with the ignition and the "Auto" light function to work properly - it was actually less complicated that I thought, I just used the IIDTool to turn DRLs on (yes I know !) and I disabled the recently enabled Canadian and Scandinavian options and it would seem that now I have what I want.
Which is the fairy lights on all the time but the rest of the lights operating normally. Thumbs Up Geoff

For what its worth, they are turned on on my car simply because when you drive under tree’s at dusk you tend to disappear... Thumbs Up

No sir...

Well...........

Not with the hardware JLR have used. You could obviously remove the lights, brake them apart and have the LED’s replaced BUT! that would obviously be very expensive...

And maybe replacing the LED’s in the headlamps current configuration may not even be possible?

Just a quick check....all I do is turn on DRL in the CCF edit and not select any of the country settings to get the fairy lights on all the time with ignition and light switch in auto? I leave switch in auto all the time. Thanks Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Finally done this. Works a treat. DRL set to Standard as active puts the fairy lights on all time Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
