Hi Guys,

As per title, sometimes when the car gets a bit dirty (this might just be coincidental) - there's some sort of tailgate squeak type of noise either coming from the tailgate itself or the very rear of the roof area back in that zone.

Does anyone have any ideas or had anything similar from the back of the corner - its only when the suspension gets agitated and the car goes up and down - then I get a squeak from that area - over a flat surface nothing at all.

Seems to be slightly worse or more pronounced when the rear end area is wet or its been raining . . .

See thread in 405 'Maintenance & Modifications' re tailgate rubbing on D pillars, could it be that? Only Range Rovers since 1988

I'd guess it's the plastic panelling on the inside rubbing against the tailgate - should have adhesive rubbing strips / foam at various locations to mitigate this, also worth checking all the panel clips are pressed home fully / present (esp. if its been removed previously for some reason).
