Wouldn’t bank on it , I’ve only had the car 3 full years , so not sure if it’s history . I have see that the front subframe Has been patched in the past 4 yrs ago. |

Moving on a bit , the nearside is nearing completion , so I need a bracket .

So now my sill repair and wheel arch is back to a near normality with the original design, with a few mods.

i have been in the body shop nearly all my working life sad i no . years ago you wear welding cars every week to get them through mots apart from one was the vw . i have used a lot off stuff to keep rust at bay and after many fails found one that works . epoxy resin . and as stated waxoil the black is better under side and wear you will see it use clear . and the upol raptor coat is very good very strong and covers well instead of schutz which peels off after a period of time . paint the hole underside with epoxy resin not a very nice job but no more rust or welding as water can not get past it . best to do this in the summer time when it is a bit warmer . |

Yes, not for the faint hearted looking at Alfapats work. Lukcily the 'inner' sill still appears intact and the jacking point is solid...for now.. |
