Tdv8 oil change mess

Hi,
I did my first oil change on the TDV8 and discovered what a daft design the sump plug layout is. At least my driveway won't squeak or rust now...
Has anyone developed a way to avoid spilling oil everywhere and yet still get the good flow rate and hopefully all the bad stuff out?
Kind regards,

Hi Ed. I just use a short piece of aluminium ducting into a 12 litre bucket. You can manipulate it into shape, then if your quick and careful when undoing the plug most of it goes straight in. Just make sure the oils not too hot as you have to hold for a while as it drains. Thumbs Up As for the rear sump plug, plenty of cardboard on the drive Big Cry but not much comes out of that one.

Extract from the top, then remove both plugs for the remainder.

Thumbs Up

I use a short length of rainwater guttering to direct the flow into a container.
