Hello all have just installed new track rod ends and bottom traction control arms and now after a cpl of days an intermittent clunk from wot seems to be the centre of the steering rack has appeared 😕 am i rite to think that the rack is suspect or have i missed something simple the above installs went ok with no hicups and both bottom ball joints on the front are fine any advice ie repair kits etc would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

oddly after doing a bottom arm bush I got a similar clunking to how it was before the change , about a week and 500 miles after , ive pry barred every joint and bush but cant find any play , anti roll bar bushes and drop links are new also

Maybe the drumsticks under the gaiters on the rack.
Worth a look, and they are not that expensive.

Cheers i will check them out but when under car and pwife rocking steering the knock/ clunck seems to be in the location of the upright part of the coloum
