Mine has started leaking at 63k miles and had it replaced. 15 hours and main dealer job rather than indy.

One tip I'd give is make sure the seal is ordered and in the mechanics hands before stripping down the vehicle.

I doubt the dealer will be paying the mechanic vast amounts, they'll keep it for themselves, sales staff and management. |

Yes I know that the hourly rate covers all the overheads as well, but really frustrating to have a £20 seal go so early in the vehicles life and neck end of 3 grand to change it.

I would doubt that they would do that, just because they have to warranty their repair work. SO should it leak it will all be coming out again at their expense. Not something that they want to do. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Workshop manager was on the phone today saying that was exactly what they were considering as they have no idea when or if they can get a new seal. |

In which case you definitely should not be paying for it to be stripped and refitted twice.

Already done mate - dealer is not the issue so I've raised the problem direct with JLR.

Well, to be fair, there is now some light at the end of the tunnel.
