Such o-rings are usually supplied in the packet with the filter, possibly inside the filter.

When I get home Monday I’ll check what’s in my spare filter package (I think I have one - if not I’ll check at my local indy workshop on Tuesday). Ron B. VK2OTC

All come with big o-ring and washer. Since it's bmw engine you can check if they sell this small o ring separate.

Gahh! I forgot. I just went out to the garage and I don't have a spare. I was at the workshop yesterday and today and forgot. I won't be back there until next week. Ron B. VK2OTC

changed my oil and filter to day
looked in to the o ring situation and it was not good
spent three quarters of the day going to land rover specialists and bmw, none of them have a clue about the o ring and never new it had one until i showed it to them
to get the o ring you have to buy a new filter unit
land rover over $600, bmw over $300 RR 2005 4.4 petrol

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver

My TD6 oil filters only come with the larger 'O' ring and Al or Cu ring

Buy the kits with various sizes of 'O' rings, I have metric and imperial kits, NBR / Viton / Nitrile, also kits to make up my own larger 'O rings. Get good quality kits and select the right material for the intended application.

Never stuck this way.

Use these kits at sea, and also make our own larger 'O' rings, when we do not have an original spares, very rarely have any trouble with these kits. Thumbs Up

if the seal is not sealing the oil bypasses the filter so the engine is getting unfiltered oil RR 2005 4.4 petrol

I forgot to get back to you about this. I checked the filters at the workshop and none have the small o-ring. Ron B. VK2OTC
