Mine used to be brilliant but having a couple of issues at the moment but will see going to replace the secondary electric pump which pumps coolant to the heater matrix on low revs that makes a difference
will let you know what happens

mine seems to get hot but defo not blowing enough out into the car , when the air con is activated , the fan increases quite a bit but the feet setting on the console delivers very little air down there Confused

I now have a fully functioning heater system and a few spare parts Very Happy the real culprit was a valve on the bulkhead which diverts flow from the cooling system to the FBH it was stuck diverting to FBH and not through the cooling system and as external temp was above1c (on petrol 1c diesels 16c ) the FBH was not on so no hot air circulating - bypassed valve all working new valve on order

I'll have to sort mine, too. It was cool yesterday - 6.5 deg C after 40 deg C the day before - and there was very little warmth coming into either side of the car. That would tend to eliminate the dual control valve.

The radiator and coolant were changed 6-8 months ago so any air lock should be gone.

The aux coolant pump appears to be for low engine speed operation and that wasn't the case as I had a 600km trip at motorway speeds for about 500km.

Blend motors maybe?

Being a 4.4 M62 Petrol, it doesn't have the FBH so that's not the issue (FBH wasn't fitted to Australian delivery models) Ron B. VK2OTC

Hmm, I had to use the programmed demist tonight (it rained!) Very Happy

Quite warm air comes out of the upper outlets near the doors and the windscreen vents. After turning that off, barely warm air comes out of the main vents - actually, it feels like (and this sounds silly) like I am getting a small amount of warm air and a separate stream of chilled air. Question

Off to read the workshop manual description of the heating system. Ron B. VK2OTC

P38aover, Did you sort the issue?. As mine seams to have the same scenario now it's started to get a little chilly.

Had an issue with the heater last winter, but that seamed to cure itself. However running & checking the heater lately gives me the same problem as you had.

No, I haven't looked at it yet. With summer coming up, I'll soon need cooling, not heating. Ron B. VK2OTC

Same problem here too.
Too hot at 28 cold at 27 or 26 set.
Has anyone tried circulation ON?
Mine heats correctly when circulation on.
When I let outside air in it gets colder.
So sensor problem for outside air temperature may be? 2010 3.6tdv8 180k km.
