Rr runs fine on lpg but not on petrol - fuel pump faulT?

Car has been runnning fine but driving on motorway recently it started kangarroing after switching to petrol when the lpg ran out. Refilled with lpg shortly after and Runs perfect On lpg

Now it starts but stalls after 5 seconds (in park)

Question is ...

1. fuel pump failure or fuel rail failure (would fuel pump failure allow it to work ok on lpg?)

2. Is there a way to "hard start" on lpg so I can drive it to my local garage to be fixed?

Hi Luke, yes read all that earlier. Not relevant to me as it starts fine but stops after 5secs from cold.

Trying to find out how to check the fuel rail. Any hints?

Anyone know how to start on lpg from cold? (Aka "hard start".) then I can drive it down to a garage to have a look.

start the car let the car die turn off igition there should be a tyre valve sticking out of the fuel rail, press the inside in like letting air out of a tyre if you get a good squirt of petrol pressure is there, no squirt no pressure

if there is pressure in the rail I would suggest removing the battery leads for an hour or so see if there's any differences

what lpg system do you have?

not really a system you can bypass or override, see if fuel rail has pressure next take it from there
