A screw bit in a quarter inch ratchet. Gives you a right angle access. John

No you can't do that on the side where the key goes in, there ignition barrel right up against the screw head you can even barely see it.

Yes , sorry I was looking at the wrong side. I did mine last month and it was straightforward. You don't need to take out as much as at first appears.

Thanks, I will have another poke around tomorrow again to see if I can locate that forward screw under the lip you mention and see if I can wiggle out the ignition barrel from under neat.

There are two screws to come out, one on either side.

Yes sorry screws and not screw is what I meant to say. Btw they open from the outside or the inside like the pic I posted? |

Sorry I'm not clear what you mean. The points of the screws point forward towards the front of the car, for want of a better description. John
