I have fitted a new EGR Valve December 2016 and when i turned the engine over there was a droning sound resonating down what seems to be the exhaust. Is this right? Is there something I have missed. This happens now every time i start the car.

Might be the Fuel Burning Heater kicking in when you start up? The FBH was standard on the TD6. John

Wouldn't seem to be the FBH then. Are you sure all the connections for the EGR are in place and tight? John

I think blanking off the EGR will help the turbo to live longer too, as the variable vanes won't gunge up so easily. |

I assume that's on the Vogue and above models and not on all the TD6 models? |
