I've just received one which I purchased for £100, but it was listed for 'spares or repair' since it has a disk read error. This seems to be quite common, and the fix is either £150 purchased through ebay, or can be done as a diy by the very brave.

ok, the downloads links that have be posted will allow you to download a v3.2 update disc and map are for the mk4 dvd unit that you find on the x5 and most people ugrade with on the pre touch screen. not the later denso unit that can be identified by the lock switch on the right hand side as you look at it and as scarey said you will need a duel layer burner to do a map/update disc,

hi, you burn one file to each disc, end up with 2 disc, do not unzip any thing.the map should be done as slow as poss. the v3.2 should be a small file around 550mb and the map will go on a standard dvd, unless you have downloaded the map for 2005 and later, that needs a duel layer and will not work in the mk4 units V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

making an educated guess here..sounds like the small file is the firmware update which you put in first then take out and put the large disc in which holds the mapping...it also sounds like the language has defaulted to french, go into the menu and change that.... ... - .- -.
