Auto lamps just stopped working (2011 4.4TDV8 Autobiography)

The auto position on my lights has just stopped working. Turning the sidelights or main beam on manually, all works fine. I can't see a fuse for the auto light function detailed in my handbook, so presume it must be not be intended for "owner maintainance". If anyone can help with the problem it would be much appreciated.
Inceidently, the car has an historic problem of blowing the front fog lights fuse, also the front windscreen wipers have parked too high for some time. I mention these just in case there is some connection with the auto lights control.

Thanks to the reply, looks expensive. Does anyone know if there is a fuse to check before replacing the sensor?

theres a fuse box behind the glovebox, have a look at the diagrams on the cover and see if anything there is relevant.... ... - .- -.
