Any auto electrician can find a parasitic drain, it's pretty easy to do with a meter, nothing special about it being an FF... Pete

Have you tried the Hevac panel? Since wiring mine to switch off when ignition off I have had no problem with battery drain. Can leave it a week now with no problem. Current: 2004 Vogue 4.4 V8 - 2004 Discovery 2

The final speed resister is usually a likely suspect. Search FSR on this forum |

Have a Google for final stage resistor as that is most common fault, there is one method to replace below but I have heard of easier methods also probably on this forum.

As others have said, first thing to look at would be the final stage resistor as it's such a common problem, also check your electrics in the boot, if there is any water ingress it needs sorted 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car! |

Thanks for the feedback guys! Well I bought a replacement FSR tried it, but still no luck! Checked the boot DVD and goes off when the cars shut, I did noticed a type of vacum sound coming from around the clock area when I close the car (while I'm inside) does anyone know if that's the problem or what that could be? |

Cheers for getting back to me Pete, checked it with a volt meter and it turns up nothing so apparently there's no drain?? Can I repair my hevac unit or buy second hand and try for luck, if I disconnect the FSR what will happen? What actually does it do? If I leave it disconnected what effect does it have, cheers! |

We hope you are using a meter, not across the terminals, but inline, with one terminal....on amps.
