thanks for the link paul, strange that Dan is saying it is access from the passenger side, where as simon from powerful.co.uk mentions taking the side panel off next to the pedals and is a 10min job, ?

I did mine from the drivers side on my UK car. Not sure if the FSR is in a different position if the steering wheel is on the "wrong" side.

Does the small red led next to the gear selector go off after about 15minutes or stay on permanently.

^ It means one of the 30+ ecu's hasn't switched off when the ignition key was removed and as such there will be a current drain which may be significant or not.

Would be worth confirming what your battery leakage rate actually is - is a very simple test. I have a similar issue but not quite so bad. I measured the battery drain current earlier today at 0.19 amps which is ok - think my issue is just a dodgy battery. There is another thread on here where someone measured 0.7 amps which would flatten it quite quickly.

I would have thought 0.19 to be on the high side - I'm far from an expert but would expect below 0.1

Headlight wiper arms not parking correctly can also cause a battery drain on the earlier models
