I have a gear box changed a 100mkms zf 5hp24 i have changed oil at 135mkms
A few months i heard a vibration at the first speed and after no and a light (cuicui) like a bird
I make a fill and i found follow

its difficult to understand your problem? your gearbox sounds like a bird ? I don't understand your photos either

Apres une vidange faite a 75mille j ai retrouve des copeaux dans le carter du fond et quand je demarre je penses en 1 er et 2 eme ca fait un bruit de roulement qui disparait en roulant mais soit le bruit est couvert par la vitesse ou ca fait comme un bruit de roulement dont les billes sont hs
La bv a ete changee a 100m en echange standart et le rr a 173m
J avais deja fait la vidange a 35m sans acun probleme
Je penses donc a un simple roulement ou le convertisseur de couple

After an oil-change [I assume gearbox oil] at 75,000 [km?], I found shavings in the bottom of the casing and when I drive off, in 1st or 2nd I think, there is a noise which sounds like a bearing but which disappears as I drive but either the noise is hidden by the speed [or ‘gear’] or it makes a noise like a worn bearing.
The auto-gearbox was changed (standard exchange) at 100,000 and the RR has done 173,000
I had already done an oil change at 35,000 with no problem.
So I am thinking of a simple bearing or the torque converter.

could be the output bearing on the gearbox, if the prop shaft was slightly out of balance it would kill the bearing gradually. It might well be that it's just a co-incidence that it happened after the oil change.

Is it easy to change?

The transmission doesn’t have an ‘output bearing’ as such (other than a small needle roller ‘steady’ bearing in the F-brake drum) because there’s a transfer box between it and the propshaft.

Aren't there bearings on the transfer box where the outputs go to the prop shafts?

Sorry i wasn't very clear by using the term 'gearbox' instead of 'transmission' (which of course includes the transfer box).

The main point i was trying to make though, is that it may not be the actual gearbox internals making the noise, it could be a whining bearing or differential that happens to have failed at the same time as the oil change. You would need to pinpoint the exact location of the noise (which is easier said than done).

the ball bearing rep 690 is between the f brake drum and G park lock and output

my l322 work very well but i have a sound

in the repair manual at page 7 there is a picture of transmission and you see on rear the big bearing
and curiously there is a bearing inside the tc but i can't put the picture to see you[/img]

There is no ball bearing on the transmission output - you must be looking at a diagram of a RWD version of the 5HP24 and not the 4WD version.

Isn't this just semantics? He said bearing not "ball" bearing? Bearing covers ball bearings, roller bearings (both straight and tapered) even white metal in the case of an engine.
