Interior light dimming on abrupt stop

Hi all - this may have been happening forever but I've only recently KT had to drive at night since owning. What I've noticed is if I go from speed to a hard stop (not that often) the revs drop really low before coming back to idle and the dash dims with any other bulb a bit loke it's stalling - it never does stall and I run lpg FYI.. should I worry?

Is your vaporiser mounted front to back or side to side? if side to side i.e from the front of the car you see the round front or back and not the thinner side of it, then as you brake the diaphragm inside will move under negative G and starve the engine of LPG causing the revs to drop... Common problem with badly fitted systems...

See if it does it on petrol... Thumbs Up Pete

Hey Pete - ill check it out this afternoon..

I was reading a few of your posts last night RE lpg and spotted one where you say you need 8mm pipe from the tank.

My fitter when i got the ff recommended the same as mine has only 6mm but in the end he said after driving and setting it up that it switches to petrol at 4.5k with the 8mm it should hold on all the way...

IS there any other negative effects of using 6mm you can think of?

Yep, that's bad... needs moving... this is about as far off straight as you want...

6mm pipe will not flow enough LPG, I have been playing with the engine map in mine, increased the ignition advance to suit the much higher octain of LPG, this has made a noticeable increase in power but it now changes to petrol on full acceleration in the lower gears as I'm not getting enough LPG down an 8mm pipe....
