Interior LED difficulties

I am attempting to replace the interior lights on my 2006 L322 with LED's. I am having extreme difficulty removing the bulb from the round, light that is close to your knee on both front seats. Can't remember what the manual calls it. The manual says to gently pry out with a flat head screwdriver. I can tell that I am dangerously close to breaking the bezel, or marring the finish on the dashboard. Any help out there? Thank you.

Upper footwell lights is what they're called. Having the hardest time removing them. Tried again tonight. Anyone know the trick?

You can take the trim off the side and remove from there.
Thumbs Up

If by trim you mean the round part that surrounds the lens, that's the part I can't get out. I've pried on it and while it will move a bit, there is not much of a lip to grab onto and the screw driver slips off. It's a matter of time before I damage something.

No, the black side panel, as you open the door, you can get a scraper or some flat tool and prise it off.
you should then be able to either push the fitting out or twist the bulb holder. Thumbs Up

Okay thank you. Will give that a try after work. Just the whole big piece of black plastic? Just pops off? I'll give it a whirl.

Yes whole big black plastic piece. Depending on the size of your hands, it can be a little restricted in there.
Best of luck. Thumbs Up

FYI, I got it done. Pried off the panel, and was able to reach in, grab the wire, and pull the entire bulb and fitting out, changed the bulb, and shoved it back in the orifice. Thanks for the help.
