Update RR main screen software?

Is it possible to update the actual software without replacing the whole screen to make it look more modern?

I think It looks like a horrible Windows 98 type screen at the minute, or am I just being picky?

You would need to do the MK4 sat nav upgrade in order to install the latest available firmware.

Check out my website www.myrangerover.co.uk for more details on this upgrade

Thanks Matt, is it worth it in your opinion? I've seen the DVD unit on eBay for around £200 and brand new android units with camera etc for around £280-£300.

It is most defernaltly worth it, I think it's the single best upgrade you can do on the early range rovers. It's a simple plug and play swap and a quick upgrade with my firmware disc to install all the features. The android head units are want for a better work Censored ! They look cheap and awful and they don't even fit in the dash correctly as they are designed to fit in BMWs with the curved dash where as ours are flat, so of them you have to butcher all the factory wiring to get it to work. The OEM MK4 system even though it's getting on a bit now is more than enough functionality. You can add AUX in, Bluetooth, reversing camera etc... with the factory systems you just have to search round to find the how too's Thumbs Up

Hope you make the right choice!
