If i could be botheres to take the hump out of my drive, that only allows short wheelbase cars to get on it without grounding, then i could potentially drive something else. But what's the fun in that Very HappyVery Happy

That's why i have a bizarre choice of cars for a 29 year old with no kids/dogs.- a Mini and a FFRR Very HappyVery Happy

A MINI

God im glad i am not married to a man who thinks giving his wife a mini is ok. lol

I just dont like them My friend had a mini, and she had a crash with her twin babies in the back They managed to get her out and her mum, however the twin boys were not so lucky. The car was such a mess.

So theres no other reason to it than that. !

That's very Sad Joanne SadSad , but of all the small cars out there , the Mini is one of the best performers and is 5 Star Euro NCAP rated!

I must admit, that if we had kids then they wouldn;t be going anywhere in the Mini..(or any other supermini) because of safety. It's too impractical anyway, you can;t get anything at all in the boot!

The back seats are pretty much folded down all the time Very Happy. She complains that if we go in the FFRR, then we have to park miles away in the empty bit of the car park (Plus i usually find some excuse as to why i can't g!o)

We used to own a Mini 4 years ago, then when our first child was born we sold It and bought our Cayenne. That was before I discovered the world of Land Rover. Then 6 months after that we bought our D3 and the rest is history. But we did get into a lot of debt Embarassed. Anyway never got round to selling the Porsche then found the Sport as I thought the FFRR was too big, but It would be perfect now. Would never take my kids In anything smaller than RRS.

That's what a Sport is for. Because it needs to be big for all the shopping you get.

The Sport is almost the same size as a FFRR, compared to most cars out there thought...

We use the Yeti to go shopping. Much easier to park.

And BTW, the old Mini was the worst vehicle to be in for a crash.
When the daily mail released the figures of actual accident results (not tests) anyone in an old mini had a greater % chance of death or serious injury than in ANY other car. Shocked
I'd never have one for that reason alone.

i think most families have a large car for long journeys and a smaller one for shopping, in my case a FFRR and a chevy matiz...those that are lucky enough to be able to have two FFRR's or a FFRR and RRS then fair play to them ... ... - .- -.

I think the old Mini was comparable to most of the other cars around when it was designed. Safety wasn;t even a concern back then Very Happy

I really like ours. It's obviously a new one, but it's great at what we use it for,. Pottering round town, and leaving at the pub on a Friday night without worrying. Apologies if i've posted this on my phone and it contains strange spelling and punctuation.. i just can't be bothered to correct it Very Happy

Will all due respect there is nothing 'mini' about a new shape mini.
It's the same size as many other small cars, so is just as safe in a crash as they are. Thumbs Up
