I need a 4x4. I am part of an essential emergency service. I am the founder member of the Cambridgeshire Mountain Rescue Service.

The highest point (a massive 146m above sea level) is only a few miles from my house. You don't want to be caught up there when the weather turns. I'm on 24h standby.

I don't think you are taking my endeavour nearly seriously enough, young lady. It requires a lot of dedication.

In particular, I need to have a specially trained search and rescue dog. He must be alert and ready to go at a moments notice.

Here he is on some high-altitude training earlier in the year:

Why thank you. I know we shouldn't boast but Cambridgeshire has one of the lowest losses of life due to mountaineering accidents in the UK. I like to think that my organisation plays a small but important part in that success.

If i could be botheres to take the hump out of my drive, that only allows short wheelbase cars to get on it without grounding, then i could potentially drive something else. But what's the fun in that Very HappyVery Happy

That's why i have a bizarre choice of cars for a 29 year old with no kids/dogs.- a Mini and a FFRR Very HappyVery Happy
