Could this not be a blower resistor issue? Or was it solved by the 2006 MY? I see a mention of a fan noise as if the fan is continuing to run.....

i am sure a more experienced member will come along and set me right. Could even be a combination of poor battery and this problem?

I've been using Yuasa batteries for a number of years now, the oldest being around 6 years old and never had a problem with them. The last one cost me in the region of £67.00 + VAT and the code for the FFRR is 019T

Edit, just checking online and they are £117.00 Big Cry

Try this link

Click the link and then click 017 then click the Varta equivalent for a price of £94.00 including VAT and delivery.

I've just checked my battery application guide and it should be the 017 battery Thumbs Up

@PJS

See my howto on battery disconnection

Also, for removal, you will need to set the bonnet in mechanic mode by releasing the struts on each side .
