Couple of years ago I had a similar issue. Mine had decent pads but I fitted LR genuine and the judder vanished.

Could be pads - could be a sticky caliper, or could be flange / hub causing the disk to not rotate completely true - or could be something else entirely..... |

I was thinking, bushes, ball joints etc but will take the discs off again to be really sure they are seated flat as a very flat thing, any other thoughts? |

did you check the rears? cant be wrong to look there, if only as prevention/rule out/safety. |

Sounds like rotors might be warped. |

It's not really noticeable at less than 45 mph and most noticable above 55 but only when braking gently/moderately. |

Good point, will check at the indie with a run-out gauge, but not hopeful as it feels like front. |

Miggit, I take that on board, but, the old ones where replaced because of pulsing, so doesn't this point to something else, bearings etc? |

By the way, did you notice that the new "rotors" where much noisier than plain discs? |
