Parking Heater Remote Control

hi all, been having a read through the wiki and some posts, but can't find the answer to my question so here we go.

is it possible to program a remote control yourself or does it have to be a dealer job?

i have seen people on ebay selling them and saying they will include instructions on how to do the programing.

just wondered if anyone has actually done it themselves.

any help/ advice appreciated. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

hi thanks for the info.

i have just bought a remote from ebay, it is different to the ones in your pics, mine is small and oval shaped but branded Land Rover.

the process of pulling the fuse and pressing the off button didn't work.

Are the post 2009 units smaller than the older type. I just took one in and am not entirely convinced by the new shape remote.....?

that's the same as the one i have just got today. it was advertised as a new unused RR remote. if it is from a newer model year, will it still work with my car?

i think that this is a T91 remote?? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

We have the T90 receiver, the T91 remote is compatibe with the T80 - I wonder if it is also compatible with the T90?

Have you taken the batteries out of the remote to reset that too? Do you get any light on the remote?

no i haven't taken the battery out of the remote, but if you think it will help i shall do it. there is only one battery by the looks of it.

when i press either button i get a flashing yellow light for a few seconds. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

If your car did't come with a remote for the park heating don't you also need to fit the receiver ? I thought you couldn't just buy a remote and away you go. 2008 MY Supercharged

i have had LR customer services email me a copy of the original build sheet for my RR.

as you go down the list of stuff it says:

Auxiliary Heater
Parking Heater With Remote Control

does the above remote control refer to the ability to turn it on via the touch screen or did it originally come with a remote control???? Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

It means it came with a remote control...

The receiver lives behind the fuse board behind the rear right hand acces pannel. It is on the back of the mounting plate and the furthest right. There are two plugs going to it as per:

You'll only see the top of this unit, and it'll be the other way round.
