Are the post 2009 units smaller than the older type. I just took one in and am not entirely convinced by the new shape remote.....?

that's the same as the one i have just got today. it was advertised as a new unused RR remote. if it is from a newer model year, will it still work with my car?

If your car did't come with a remote for the park heating don't you also need to fit the receiver ? I thought you couldn't just buy a remote and away you go. 2008 MY Supercharged

It means it came with a remote control... The receiver lives behind the fuse board behind the rear right hand acces pannel. It is on the back of the mounting plate and the furthest right. There are two plugs going to it as per: You'll only see the top of this unit, and it'll be the other way round.
