Final Stage Resistor

Hi Chaps,

looking for some advice. Got a 2003 td6 L322. The heater blower doesnt work. All the lights come on to the switch though. Also checked the maxi fuse 61 and its fine. Would the FSR be the right choice next to replace?

Just to add to it the rear blower works fine.

regards

Paul

rear heater is on a seperate FSR so it does sound like it could be the front FSR that is playing up
have you checked for a live at fuse 61

Hi Paul. As long as you have power to the fuse it's probably your next cheapest option. They are a bit of a Censored to get at but once you train your arm to bend in three places they are not technically difficult and around £40 to buy. Did mine on my 2004 Td6 and it did the trick. Good luck. Thumbs Up

had the same problem on my 2002 td6, turned out it was the brushes in the heater motor itself

Well,

Managed to swap out the FSR, they must have been put in by pixies with little hands because mine is now bleeding profusely. Still the blower now works a treat so job done.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice it was a great help.

regards

Paul
