The supplying garage has seen the video and is asking questions of the garage that said they'd fixed the "slight leak".

It's been to my local Indy today for diagnosis and they changed a rubber o ring under the oil filter housing that should be round and was flat. They cleaned all the old oil off the back of the engine then did an oil change..... But the car is still there as now they suspect a seal on the oil cooler that's sat in the V of the engine and will need a strip down to get to. Not sure they can start the work this week so I'm guessing I'll be without it for a couple of weeks....

I have had an oil leak on mine too. Fixed under warranty, told an o ring on a breather. A few weeks later saw it was still leaking, back to dealer and told different leak caused by oil rail guard or something. Did nt make sense to me, apparently there is a service bulletin in it. Called today saying still leaking and it's a job that requires the engine out and four days!! Will report back but I am expecting some resistance from LRs approve used warranty people but it's hardly wear and tear!! It's a 2012 now with 50k miles. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE

Mine was proved to be the oil heat exchanger that sits in the V. A common issue as the garage has now done another 9 since mine.....

Car still at dealers and not yet started. Approved warranty would nt agree as leak not severe enough! Their engineer is coming this week. Car going to be off road at least another week. I bought this car with the planning of keeping it years. Late versions of each generation of Range Rover seem to get a premium 10 years on and I went for a 2012 and a high spec. After this I am not sure I have the confidence to keep it long term. So much to go wrong! Will update later. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE

Bar a new wiper motor, mines been fine since..... Don't get disheartened.... the warranty chaps are causing your grief now, not the car .... That just needs the repair......

Thanks.m and good point. My TD6 which I had for 8 Years and drove 100k miles in was actually very reliable! It's an expensive repair under warranty that probably involves £20 of parts. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE

Hallo together, a client of me has the same problem like MJDRONFIELD at his 4.4 TDV8 03/2011, 313hp, he lives in London City until this month, comes back last week to Germany, today I make service, and: what a surprise, great oil leak exactly like on video from MJDR, the client got new EGR in London from indy..., but he never comes back to London. So I must repair, has anyone an idea??

Hi, as I mentioned above, mine was the oil/water heat exchanger in the V of the engine. It is what they have instead of the traditional oil cooler....Is a common fault. It cracks. Was definitely not the EGR so that must have been to fix a different fault.
