To open the lower glovebox I have to give the drop down door a firm tap before the switch will release the lock. The upper one works fine from the switch.

Thanks Stan, too many little hideaways are a waste of space, my 2004 is as flash as I will probably get so I will avoid a lot of thee problems I see other forums. Still lovely Lady though. |

I have to hit the lower glove box anywhere from 1-5 times for it to release. Top one releases first push. One of those quirks...I'm sure it can be fixed but haven't messed with it. Not sure if the issue is with the button or the release mechanism inside the glove box. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

glad I'm not the only one. It may well be the weight of the glovebox putting pressure on the lock mechanism. Regards

Can you lift up and out (by the hinge) on the glove box like most other makes to remove it and see if anything is jammed in behind? 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Had a closer look at glove box as needed to get to fuse box. There is a retaining clip on the side of the glove box (nearest centre console) that you just have to squeeze gently (towards the box) and the box will lower giving access behind. |
