Seriously? You would spend £160,000 on a car that is, and I quote, "not that bad"?

I could drive around in a car designed to look like a steaming dog turd and it would be pretty exclusive... Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I don't like the Evoque, and I'm fairly sure I won't like the Disco 5 much either, but I'll guarantee they're both infinitely more successful in terms of design than the Bentayga, which is an ill-proportioned, tawdry, embarrassing pastiche.

Fortunately for VW the vast majority of customers won't look any further than the badge and the supposed prestige they're buying into, because purely as a piece of design it's a pathetic failure.

When HRH decides to go it alone this is the preferred ride, or the series 1 Land Rover that she also has...

She only has the Bentley's and Rolls Royces when she is being driven, and that is not all the time they also use Range Rovers too.

I wonder what the Bentley Owners Club make of this latest offering, that could be a fun read, most of them refuse to recognise anything other than a Cricklewood car, so this latest offering will not have done too much to improve customer relations with the old school Laughing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Scotland 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Has anyone who has commented actually driven one? It may not be to everyone's taste (or purse in my case Very Happy ) but one of the aspects of the FF we all like is the driving experience. Is it being suggested that the Bentley's driving experience is poor?

Can't comment on that myself as the last Bentley I drove any distance was a Bentley S Standard Saloon. Wink John

By all accounts it drives very well, as you'd expect - doesn't excuse how it looks though.

But then, if you don't care how it looks when you're inside it, it's the driving experience that counts. Those who buy it for the name, or so called prestige, excepted. Smile John

The last Bentley that I drove was an Eight........ and I very much doubt that I will be climbing in to anything newer, sort of lost interest when they became popular with the Bling Brigade Yawn Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

saw one! at Jack Barclay, in Berkley Square, Mayfair.
it looks better in the flesh, than these pictures suggest. however the front looks too narrowed, and as such the headlights just don't work for me. wheels look 'jack the lad', but show off the massive brakes it has.

the headlight follows the model range.....

however, next door, are the Rolls Royces, they STILL cant sort out a decent looking headlight either! 'we made a square hole, so we thought we'd use these old round ones..... and stick some drl's to fill in the gap.
it looks almost an afterthought, ' like those old 1970's USA spec lights you used to see on mercs and jags....

AND, if you cant quite afford the Batayga, you could just buy the sunglasses.

or further down the road, you could always buy yourself, a gold Bidet!

you have to ask yourself, when in London, what do I need the most.... a Batayga, or a gold bidet, or just get the glasses!
