Sounds like alternator to me, you will probably find the battery will need swapping to, they don't like not getting enough charge and sulk a lot....

With those voltage readings whilst driving I think your alternator is failing too.

Stick the multimeter on AC and see what you get. My bet is the diodes are failing and causing the current drain also. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Assuming your earth straps are sound, i'd go with faulty alternator too. |

Now, I have been reliably informed that the ecu thingy in the drivers footwell can also throw up all the ghost faults that I have been getting.

Due to low voltage I expect, new alternator, charge battery, clear faults and normal service should resume.... Pete

The ECU you're talking about is the lighting ECU. In the drivers footwell behind the R/H panel as you say. Usually causes strange indicator/lighting problems. Mine also caused radio/stereo problems when it decided to act up. |
