Hi All,
Drivers side window trim (runs horizontally from top of windscreen to bottom) is lifting up, to me it looks like this is just cosmetic and does not serve and purpose, i also cannot see that its clipped in, the passenger side is solid, so i am guess its just a case of putting some silicone sealant down it, is that correct??

LOL, yes writing on the phone , its vertical, at work at the moment so cannot take a pic,

it has 4 clips on the underside (white) and another 4 in the inside (black) if you open the doors you will see them.

Thanks so should not be loose then , will see if it needs tighterning or probably new clips

I had the same problem last week tried to refit with the old clips but didn't work so got new clips from local dealer £14 for 8 bits of plastic robbing £$%%ers, you could try the bay might be cheaper.

Ive bought trim clips from ebay in the past, they're normally cheaper, but it's hit and miss if they'll actually fit properly, a lot of the time they break more easily or they don't quite fit the holes correctly.

From main dealers they normally average around £1 - £2 each, expensive for what they are, but you seldom need many of them and they'll definitely fit. One trick is to ask what the unit of issue is, Often the warehouse will only supply them in packs of 5 so if you only want 1 the dealer might well charge you the price for 5 anyway and put the other 4 in the rack to gather dust, some times you're better off buying all 5 and put them in your tool box (trim clips are often used in more than one place on the car)

Some times ebay is expensive! I needed the clip to stow the bonnet prop on a Citroen a few months ago, they were £3 or something on ebay, 40 pence from a Citroen dealer!
