I get a bit of FM Radio interference when using the heated rear screen, its not really a problem because there is a good DAB signal around here so I normally use that until I turn the screen off - so no real problem. However the pattern (element usage) intrigues me and so on this frosty morning I took a pic you can see top right only alternate elements seem to be working for a part of the distance across, i won't fix this unless it is A. Easy and B. Free as I have a perfectly acceptable workaround, in fact I didn't even realise I had a problem until I read elsewhere on the forum about slight FM interference when using the heated rear screen

Elements - these are usually "painted" on the inside of the screen with a conductive paint.

Something has scratched the conductive "paint" - usually you will see a thin break where the paint is missing (magnifying glass helps).

You can get some conductive silver paint from say Halfords to touch it up.

Common culprits are having something in the boot which has rubbed up against the glass and scratched off the paint.

If you find the break in one line, then it usually in a similar place on the other line if something scratched down the screen. Howard

just looked at mine and there is a element line that you can feel with your finger nail..

its possible that some connections havnt been connected properly .. ... - .- -.
