2008 FFRR TDV8 gearbox

The box on my FFRR is very smooth except for the first time it goes up the low gears from a cold start. It takes off fine, but 1-2 is a bit lumpy and 2-3 lumpier still. It almost feels like its hesitating to complete the change, particularly if you give it some throttle. From that point on its absolutely fine until it gets completely cold again.

Also my phone software is odd. It always pairs well, but the address book often doesn't respond, or when a number is selected to call, it doesn't make the call, just going back to the main phone screen - any ideas?

Gearbox is quite normal... Find that on a lot of 6 speeds...

And the BT module needs updating by the sound of it sir... Thumbs Up

Great thanks Craig. Good to know about the box - it does feel very odd, particularly 2-3, then fine all day!

How do I go about sorting out the phone - its an oddly intermittent thing

Thanks again

James

Either buy an IID tool? Or find someone with a multi use one? Of buy an updated bt module?

Gearbox would probably benefit from a software update sir... Also dependant on milage? Oil changing after the software has determined a fix? Thumbs Up

Many thanks Craig. If I were a bit nearer to Dursely I'd book it in, but as I'm in Marlow its not really practical. I'll have a word with our local specialists and see if they can do it. - thanks again.

The phone problem might be where you have stored your contacts if they are on your SIM card they can't be read but if they are on your phones memory then they can be L322 2008 vogue

Thanks Ivor- its intermittent. Sometimes its OK, sometimes the directory won't work. The names are there but it won't find them. When a number is selected it won't call - just goes back to the initial phone screen. Same if selected from received or sent calls

Mine is a bit temperamental sometimes as well. I think it greatly depends on how clean your contact list is on the phone. If its a mix mash of sim and phone memory contacts as mentioned before, then it doesn't seem to display them all that well. V8 or else ...
