press the left tone button on the nav unit for about 3/4 seconds and it will bring up a 'volume' screen where you can adjust the relevant defults there..

It might be worth re-flashing the bluetooth module. You would need to have a dealer to do that unless you purchase the GAP iiD tool which is an invaluable piece of kit to have for all sorts of functions. The BT version, although more expensive, is the most versatile. John 2008 Stornoway Grey 3.6 Tdv8 Vogue 2005 TD6 Java Black Vogue - Written off!! I'm having the same problem on mine (05 Vogue with the Jag head unit) - phone connects fine, dials on the screen but there is no dialling tone or voices through the stereo even with the volume properly adjusted. If I pick up the phone from the cubbyhole (whilst stationary I hasten to add) and change the sound output from "bluetooth speaker" to "handset", I can talk through it normally - so the problem obviously lies with the car not the connection.

You will need to remove the unit to check it properly.

Only real way to be sure is to swap it with another unit.
