press the left tone button on the nav unit for about 3/4 seconds and it will bring up a 'volume' screen where you can adjust the relevant defults there..

Is the other person able to hear you when you make a call ??

If not then it may be a problem with the bluetooth module and water ingress Regards

It might be worth re-flashing the bluetooth module.

You would need to have a dealer to do that unless you purchase the GAP iiD tool which is an invaluable piece of kit to have for all sorts of functions. The BT version, although more expensive, is the most versatile. John

Hi

I had the same problem when retro-fitting my blue tooth, everything worked & connected but no volume, it turned out the car had, had a phone kit fitted prieviously, the remants of which were still connected but tucked behind the centre console. When all this was removed & the wire correctly re-instated(speakers) everything worked fine. Lost some skin off my knuckles but OK to do, hope this helps.

Mine was an after market unit fitted behind centre console & tapping into speaker system wiring at that point.

another question : when you dial a number can you hear the ring tone through the stereo ??

If the answer is no, then your nokia module is goosed Big Cry

I talk from experience and had to replace it - all is well again Very Happy Regards

I'm having the same problem on mine (05 Vogue with the Jag head unit) - phone connects fine, dials on the screen but there is no dialling tone or voices through the stereo even with the volume properly adjusted. If I pick up the phone from the cubbyhole (whilst stationary I hasten to add) and change the sound output from "bluetooth speaker" to "handset", I can talk through it normally - so the problem obviously lies with the car not the connection.

Is there a way to tell by visual inspection if the nokia unit is goosed? NW060

You will need to remove the unit to check it properly.

check the condition of the pins where the multi connector goes in - serious signs of green corrosion is a indicator of water ingress.
Mine wasn't that bad but had water coming out of the unit when I tipped it up. undid the case and there was signs of water damage on the board. I'll try and get a pic up of the board. Regards

Only real way to be sure is to swap it with another unit.

Personally at that juncture its bet to just get the new unit as its a much better setup than even the upgraded nokia units. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

What is the upgraded phone unit? And is it plug and play with the rest of the 05 system? NW060
