SatNav really losing the plot

I'm running a rusty 2015 disc and twice now the sat nav has decided to take a diversion of the main route out into the countryside and back onto the main route about 20 miles further on has anyone else experienced this issue with a rusty disc L322 2008 vogue

Not had a problem with the rusty discs in the past. Could be a sat nav issue where the algorithm sees a defeat riffed country lane and works out that at 60 that route would be quicker that a trunk road which at have stretches at 50 or 40.

Swmbo was using the Tom Tom on Friday which sent her down a back potholed road! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Have you recalibrated the satnav. Range Rover quotes.....

In a similar vein I recalibrate the satnav for both location and direction and it's fine for the next 30 minutes or so then just picks a random location to indicate current location. Anyone got any ideas what the issue could be?

My wife and I refer to our sat navs as Lady Map. Female voice and can't navigate.

I once asked for a route to place about 200km away. Lady Map calculated a route that was over 4,000 km. Ron B. VK2OTC

Calibrated it everything seems fine it comes up with the 3 route and I check that it's following motorways and major roads but then it gets to a point and decides to go on a country diversion ,it's okay around towns but it seems to onl do it on long journeys L322 2008 vogue
