chris, bells sponsor the other forum so thats why they are popular.
RAPIDS unit is very clever , it reads your existing map then you upload it to RAPID via email , they process it and then send you the new map again via email...you then upload your vehicle specific remap via the gadget...this gadget/unit will also clear fault codes i believe...

heres a link to the video explaining how to do it.

Hello everyone

My name is Mike (Rapid Remap Ltd)

I notice a few of you are discussing who to use for a Remap.

Obviously every company you speak to will want you to use them

I have heard of JE and Pete (Bell) who have been around the industry longer than I have, and provide an excellent service.

They are competitors and as a businessman of course I would like forum members to use Rapid Remap rather than a competitor.

The trouble is, however good I say our service is, the real proof is in results rather than claims.

We rely heavily on customer recommendations and testimonials (as these are much more useful to you than a claim by someone selling a service)

This is what I propose, Scarey has made an enquiry to us so we are going to his RR at a special price as an opportunity for you to get feedback from one of your own.

Then if everyone is happy I will arrange a special group purchase deal for anyone else keen to try us out.

We work Saturdays so any of you that find it difficult to visit during the week, will still be able to use our services.

Scarey one of my staff (Sam will contact you with a special price) Rapid Remap Performance Centre - specialising in ECU remapping, chip tuning, servicing, repairs and performance modifications. We offer professional friendly service at competitive prices without compromising on quality. please feel free to contact us for a chat about your requirements.

Had a look, but when the reports are that good I get a bit suspicious. Will be interesting to see your opinion Scarey. Thumbs Up

When I read things like this I lose interest:
Quote:
The main thing I was keen to improve was the fuel economy, which was pretty much pegged at 20.9mpg no matter what I tried.

<snip>

That works out to some 40% improvement, which is like me being able to buy diesel at just 60p a litre rather than the normal £1.00 a litre.

Thats not all...

And I hate to mention it, but...

It would be nice if some small contribution was made to the forum if a trader is getting business here. Thumbs Up

I appreciate people are sceptical of anything they read, but all of our testimonials are Genuine and in the words of the customers, we do not exagerate what they say, simply post it. Rapid Remap Performance Centre - specialising in ECU remapping, chip tuning, servicing, repairs and performance modifications. Yes. Loads. But are there any power graphs ? The proof positive is in the Dyno numbers and I can't see any for the TD6 FFRR.

Sorry we do not do graphs, we do not have a rolling road.

IMO (this is only my opinion) I do not think a piece of paper is the best way to assess the performance of a vehicle as we drive on the road not a dyno.

Of course I know some of you will disagree, but as I say it is ony my opinion. Rapid Remap Performance Centre - specialising in ECU remapping, chip tuning, servicing, repairs and performance modifications. for flucks sake guys you buy a car that cost new around £60k (yes some of you have acquired them preowned), and then you quibble over £50 on a map Rolling Eyes

Not being funny, but I would rather go somewhere that develops there own maps, and has the backup and clout of a long established business and links with LR, rolling road, graphs.....

several of us have been the JE route (and BAS) and the reviews I have seen have all been good
