TDV8 Gearbox ECU update

Just had my 07 Vogue SE done yesterday at my local independent service agent (Has full Land Rover Kit)

In Canterbury, Kent.

No more flat spot when pulling away, no more transmission shunt (So far! Rolling Eyes )

All in all extremely pleased. Hope that once the gearbox has run through it's adaptions it stays the same! Laughing

This update, apparently, only came out a couple/few weeks ago. So if you're having those issues it may be worth checking.

I collected my car in Feb this year. It had the latest updates to then. Yesterday 2 new updates were downloaded.

Now drives as smooth as you would expect it to! Thumbs Up

Time will tell I suppose 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment

Could I just drive into a main dealer and get it done for nothing or would I have to pay? Geoff

Look up in the sky. When you see a flock of flying pigs, well then you might get stuff like that for free,

Must admint I would think they would charge for it. If you were in for a service maybe they would do as part of the service?

As I went to the independent guy who does my other Range Rovers I paid him for doing it. It was on the computer for about 40 minutes. 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment

Hi I would be really interested in this. I have a flat spot when pulling out of junctions and a shunt from 2nd to 1st when slowing to a stop. Both came after I had a gearbox update in around Feb so sounds like a more recent version has now been released. Please let us know if it has worked !

Hi,

I'll get the updates when I next speak to the guy

As far as the update is concerned

Used for the last two days and absolutely brilliant. Gearchage is really smooth. Flat spot at junctions and when accelerating gone. Shunt on gearchange 1st - 2nd and sloppy feel in trans all gone!

So far very very happy. Thumbs Up 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment
