I'm keen on the thoughts of polybush for replaced bushes now they are available, what's the consensus?

found this on a muddy website not sure how applicable it would be to a FF living 90% of the time on the road http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=78917 |

IMHO total waste of money, ONLY buy original bushes.... believe me I have tried them all over the years and you cannot beat genuine ones... Pete

Why not shop around for the arms, talk to Dan at Duckworths, he will give you a good price I'm sure. Then let an indy do the work. I had the mechanics in Nigeria do both front rear control arms on the 4.2 and it turned out to be a relatively easy job (the front bags failed and that is when we noticed the rubbers being in "not great shape"). The only reason I brought polly bushes when I had my challenge defender was because they were easier to replace.

I rebushed the lower arms and as has been said above.... don't bother... took ages, was a right pain even with a 10ton bench press, it saved a few quid but I wouldn't bother next time..... Pete

Excellent result. And far better than Poly. I did a D3 with Polybushes back in 2008 and they were in there for a grand total of a month before I did them all again with genuine items. They absolutely ruined the ride. |
