Yes & no Rolling Eyes

G4 (mantec) under body protection was made for the 02-06 & for the 06-09 but to my knowledge never made for the 09> cars as the G4 challenge was discontinued Rolling Eyes

I have both here if your passing and want to look? I would think the 02-06 would maybe fit the later cars???

If you're interested I'm currently chatting with a local (to my parents in West Wales) fabricator to build up some underbody protection for my 2007 TDV8. He's currently having a look at pricing up different kinds of alloys vs. galvanised steel etc.

Someone on this forum did manage to persuade Mantec to do a limited run of their G4 stuff but we weren't sure whether it would fit a TDV8. It was also a pretty penny and probably overkill for what I wanted - just a little extra protection.

[edit]Benefit of going this route is that it'll be completely bespoke so can be customised to what you want.[/edit] Ed

Well I'm hoping to at some point today go under mine in the barn pit to get some dimensions for him. Although I have to take the pack (four labs) out for a walk / shoot first and then replace a fence.

What kind of stuff are you after? The Mantec ones are 8mm and overkill for what I wanted - given most of the time the vehicle's on the road I was looking along the lines of 3mm ish to cut down on weight but still offer protection against the more "violent" gentle knocks. Ed

Ed...

I'm not going to be seriously off roading, but I do a lot of work on farms and occasionally I need to be recovered by a tractor Embarassed, there's nothing worse than getting stuck and then having to lay down in the mud to remove the stupid plastic cover, but with this removed the front end looks awful,so it's primarily to make the front more acceptable Thumbs Up

Similar usage to me then - except I'm aiming to take mine to Morocco at the end of the year. Although I was primarily focused on the underbody protection rather than front-end but I'm sure Chris can work around it. Ed

This is the Mantec one,

It is very substantial and well over the top for normal laning and off roading, it's only touched a few times, I would have thought 4mm would be strong enough for most...

The fuel tank is actually the lowest thing under there, I'd be tempted to get that sorted as well, mines got the Mantec guard on there and it's hit more, also the transfer box cage will get caught, I used the rear exhaust guard (modified) to fit that and it's had some use!! Never hit the exhaust though!!
