TD6 engine running rough below 2,000rpm

First time at this, so here goes. L322 TD6 2004. 96,000mls Engine has started to sound rough below 2,000rpm. actualy it sounds noisy, like a lot of other diesels. still pulls well above 2,000rpm. Any Ideas. Current Vehicles: 2004 RR Td6,) 97 Nissan Terrano 2 SE (Old Reliable) , 1989 Merc S 260SEL, 79 XJS V12 manual, 85 VW Sirocco GTS

Sounds like you have a leaky injector causing diesel knock which may not affect the engine above 2k rpm as it requires the extra fuel Smile

Time to whip them off and get them flow/pattern tested Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
