Check coolant Level intermittant warning

2004 TD6 - Is there a step by step idiot proof guide to fault finding that warning? I have been driving for about 6 months now and this just started showing every other day, I had a look and the reservoir seems ok so I assume its just a gremlin like the ones I get in my XJ8 when the battery gets low or is it an actual problem? I am overdue a service so maybe that has something to do with it but I thought I would ask so I can pre-empt any questions when I leave it in to get looked at

''Over time, the sensor (Part number PCJ000020) can stop working, or just become a bit over sensitive, and alert to low level of coolant even when coolant level is fine. You need to change the sensor.''

Changing just the sensor may not be enough. You may need to change the whole coolant tank and sensor. Thumbs Up .
