Not really - the 'quick release' Swan neck unit still has 1 bolt through the armature in the same place that the farmers one has a pin or bolt. It gives the illusion of security, but in reality is exactly the same - one bolt and you're away...... |

It depends which farmers hitch you compare it to.

I guess that ultimately, the Farmers - like 50% of the towbars in the UK can have the tow ball removed by the 2 bolts - and then reconnected to any other vehicle designed to take a standard EU tow ball.....

If they want it they will get it. The lock won't make any difference they will quite easily get through pretty much any hitch lock.
