Hahahaha yeah they really like their steering wheel covers here. Plenty Gliptone here mate, bought it for the FFRRs but will most certainly do the BMW seats if I do get it.

Sorry to hear the Honda escaped. I'd vote for the Volvo. It's big, comfy and much cheaper than the others. |

Thanks Craig. I agree the Volvo looks best although for now I gave it second place because there is much uncertainty about the camshaft timing belt replacement and this engine in notorious for "eating" them. I'm trying to find out what a replacement belt and tensioner are going to cost because I don't trust them anyway.

Those mercs that are pre 98 I think, have the straight six engine. Later had the better v6. The inline 6 do go on forever, but they do throw the head gasket, do make sure it's been done. Post 99 mercs have had paint issues, across whole range, they switched to very thin water based paint, and many cars went rusty very quickly, only warranted if full servicing done. Early mercs look ace, and a well cared for one is peanuts. In UK.

Hi John, yes, it is definitely a straight six with 275k kilometers on it. This one has been resprayed maybe the Malaysian sun because it looks perfectly straight and no rust whatsoever. Does of course have AC (and it works well) and leather !!.
