I'm looking to install a shower pump and I've seen one at a good price (£80) which is 1.5 bar rated. The shower that we have currently just runs off the mains water system and is not very powerful. Would this pump be adequate or do I need to go higher?

If your shower is fed directly from the mains via a condensing boiler then no the pump you have highlighted will not be suitable.

No, our system isn't a condensing one. It's a hot water cylinder with a tank up in the loft as you stated. It's just not that powerful. |

It's already almost touching the apex inside the loft. I could go about a foot higher but that's it.

Upgrade your cylinder to an unvented system. Then you'll have mains pressure hot water. |
