Turbo tdv8

Running on motorway today 70mph in tdv8 Vogue ,kick down throttle and whoosh ....no power pulled over slowly found oil coming from air cooler ,breakdown man said oil possibly in turbo or seals..just had full main dealer service 1month ago and both egr valves replaced car down 80k f,s,h

Panicking might need replace engine ...possibly turbos..car beautiful cond and gave no sign of fault car started again but I switched off quick was told if oil got into turbo it would keep car running even if I had switched off witchI had done .any ideas folk do I need new turbo
And how is the job to do

Mark, i don't want to comment... which will either A, scare you or B, give you false hope... But nevertheless it sounds like it needs looking at by someone who knows what they are doing sir...

Could be several other things too, which will obviously be looked into before turbo failure sir...

Yes thank you have it in my local garage who replaced the egr valves ,he also has 2sports waiting to have new v6engines installed ...
Mike Aiken in. Lady bank fife has a q of 14 waiting in new engines ,so worried I might have to go main dealer ...
There was a bout half a litre came out of air filter box at side of road ..not much smoke though I'm hoping I caught it and coasted to side of road ..can any one tell me is it a big job to replace the turbos and if so how would you knowe if had damaged engine thanks.

Forgot to say had my car superchipped ...few months back...by reputable garage can this be an issue

New turbos are £1000 each, for brand new turbos, out the factory

One side is fairly easy to do. Realistically, it's a days work.

The other side, less so. The subframe needs dropped, the diff removed, engine mount off, exhaust manifold off...
They can be done DIY, but it's not for the faint hearted.
