To follow up on Stan's personal opinion

Quote:
Stan wrote on another thread .....

i think the OP question was aimed at the L405 and not the proper FF

Why shouldn't the L405 be known as FF ...... ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Never mind that, what's the ideal speed to get best mpg from an L405 TDV6?

They're both FF, well to me they are.

As I said in the other thread:

I'm of the opinion that the L405 still qualifies as a FF.

It was only in 2005 that variants of 'Range Rover' badged vehicles started hitting the market in the form of the RRS - hence the proper Range Rover eventually being referred to as 'Full Fat'.
There was never a need to differentiate the P38.

The same principle still applies.

I know what he meant.

Substitute "proper" for "original" Thumbs Up .

Well the L405 is just an updated version of the L322 so I don't see why it shouldn't be called a FF after all it was only a term of endearment that Adam RRUK invented .....

You yourself as a person are probably updated as well what with the advancement of technology that you are now using as to say 10 years ago and you are still a "Stan" .... Or do you think of yourself as not a proper Stan ..... Laughing Laughing Wink

your last paragraph is something to ponder, not sure how to answer that... Laughing

any way ,my personal view is that only the classic shape of the L322 can be called a FF.....the L405 defo needs a different name.. ... - .- -.

In that case why is the later L405 Range Rover part of this forum? The Classic and the P38 aren't.
