Bluetooth Error - 'Phone Not Fitted'

Looking at buying a 2010 Vogue, I get a 'Phone Not Fitted' message when attempting to pair a phone. I presume BT was standard on this model so there is an error of some description. Is it difficult/costly to fix?

did you try to pair it with the right code? the code should be written somewhere on the module. cars on the side;

I got no option to pair it. I just pressed the 'phone' button on the dash and I'm presented with a screen saying 'phone not fitted'.

My iPhone has lead a hard life. It's refused to pair a few times. Turning BT off, then on and repairing seems to work. Previous poster is very correct. That's the code I've used, with good results.

I have a 2010 model. Sometimes the BT module stops broadcasting its ID so either you can't pair or use BT if previously paired. Seems to then spark into life if you turn off, lock up and then unlock and re-start.

I have the same problem with my Blackberry - phone pairs up fine but car does not see the phone.

"Phone not fitted" message.

Dealer paired his phone without any problems.

Any ideas?

You always have to search for the car from the Blackberry each time you want to pair it and enter the code.

Even though you have initially paired it, it does not search for the phone automatically.... 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

Anyone out there with any ideas please?

I always had to manually connect my BB phones to the BTooth system I had on my classic (motorola system)

Hoping the new car will work fine with my Sony phone
