And that was the cheap one! the MK3 V12 is actually a bigger car than the one pictured, which is a very rare MK1 3.8 lt, sometimes know as the flat floored ones. But they are a tight squeeze around the peddles, the later ones had a dished floor so that normal people could drive them without cutting their toes off for access Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Garry, is that one of those stupidly over priced Eagle E types? Everything looks great on paper until you see the price, I belive that its around the £500K region

I knew that they were expensive, but Whats more I have just noticed that it's a re-work on the MK3, it's got flared aches and no headlight covers, even more of a rip off! Bearing in mind that a very good MK3 roadster can be had for £70K, what have they spent the other £630K on? Cos from what I can see that's a lot to charge for some US cruising lights Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Its a Series 3 (1971–75) with the revised grill and no headlight covers as standard.

You can see how the car has been adapted for the US market over the years, what you don't mention is the MK3 was also stretched about 5" to get an automatic gearbox in. Over here we nearly all learn on a manual gearbox, so it wasn't for our benefit that the auto box was installed There are very few parts that are interchangeable between the Mk3 and the 1's + 2's, were as the MK1 and Mk2 have a lot of common parts. I only know as I've helped a friend restore a 1961 roadster, which involved a lot of parts searching! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The Series 1 E-Type is by far the prettiest.
