Looking at it logically then surely large chunks of rubber going round at 50mph-70mph will never be as quiet as 'normal' tread |

Try a set of Mud Terrains and then tell me if your LTZ's are noisy, you should try the STT Coopers they really sing at anything over 40 Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

The LTZ's fitted to mine seem quiet enough, not intrusive at all. |

It would be good to have actualy test data from tyre tests (new and used and rotated and the lot), I would be interested if it is dBs or frequency (us oldies usually less high and mid range so low becomes more pronounced for example).

Mentioned it a few times before, they are not as quiet as other "normal" tyres and mine were new when they went on. Stil have a set of 5 brandnew in the garage, but don't know if I'll ever use them although they are great tyres and do well. |

Well Robert, since you will be doing very little than eat, drink and be merry, maybe you can find the time to do a test circuit with road and LTZs on the FFRR and report back your findings on dB readings on your smartphone PLEASE ??? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

how is the ride with these LTZs on 22s? Even worse than "normal" all seasons? I plan on getting a set of 22" stormers come summer and need s good tire. |

If you want good ride then you want the smallest wheel that will fit the car and the corresponding tyre to go with it. The lower the profile the harder the ride, better for treating your ffrr like a go cart and for towing, but not so good for wafting along. At the moment I'm on 18's with 255/60/18 tyres, but I'm thinking about going to 20's to improve the towing ability.

I'm running Cooper STTs on my D1. The road noise is near silent compared to the Insa Turbo Special Tracks that were on it previously...
